2008 Rivers Bend Syrah

The deep red - purple color hints at the finesse and depth this wine possesses. Yummy toasty oak and vanilla bean notes wrap around a juicy core of black cherries and sweet black plum flavors. The tannins are fine grained yet are still present enough to provide decent aging potential. Having aged one year in the bottle, this is a wine which requires little time between opening and enjoying. The fare demands a thick beef steak or spicy Pan Asian fare i.e. a thick pan seared tuna steak seasoned with a light soy –sesame sauce. When compared to our non-reserve 2008 Syrah wine our reserve wine is a tad more full – bodied and possesses slightly more oak nuances.

2008 Rose of Pinot Noir

The Wine: A beautiful bright pink - red –color pours into one’s glass. Aromas of ripe raspberry, violets, cherries and strawberries are present in the wine. The body is medium to full. The finish is moderate to long and richly textured. Match with grilled salmon, cold ham or turkey sandwiches or fresh seasonal berries. A solid three to five years of cellar potential exist with this fine wine.

2009 Pinot Noir

A beautiful ruby red – slight purple color pours into one’s glass. Aromas of ripe raspberry, violets, cherries and strawberries mixed with coconut, sweet vanilla bean and toasty oak are present in the wine. The body is medium to full. The finish is moderate to long and richly textured. The tannins are very civil. Match with grilled game, lamb, duck other barbequed red meats or salmon. You may expect to age this fine red wine eight to ten years.

Stormy Mountain Red NV11
|
The Wine: This latest Stormy Mountain Red release is truly a loveable mutt. Crafted from seven different grape varieties it could not help but being so. A beautiful ruby red color is present. Delicious black cherry, red raspberries, old fashion damask rose petals and sweet vanilla bean and toasty oak notes are found on the nose and palate of this medium-bodied wine. This wine’s presentation is quite complex, smooth and soft. It makes for a great match when paired with beef or BBQ lamb, chicken or salmon. A solid four to six years of cellar potential are possible with our NV Stormy Mountain Red. Enjoy!
